Support & Guidance for Families

We aim to work in partnership with our families, recognising that we are all here to support each other so that children can become the best person they can be. This page provides links, resources and support for parents and carers to help them support their child.

 

We can also help signpost you to a wide variety of external support beyond those listed below.  If you have any concerns or would like an informal chat, please contact the school office who can arrange this for you.

  • CAHMS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) are an NHS service that aims to help young people up to the age of 18 who are finding it hard to manage their emotional and psychological health, and who are suffering with acute, chronic and severe mental health problems.
  • Early Help Hub Early Help Hub can offer you support for a range of issues from behaviour that is challenging to housing and finance. Parents cannot self-refer to this service so please speak to Mrs Tong or Mrs Robertson for more details.
  • Family Lives Family Lives provides targeted early intervention and crisis support to families. If you need to talk, we're here to listen
  • Hampshire SENDIASS An impartial service where parents of SEND children can access confidential information, advice and support.
  • Home Start Hampshire We work with families to help them cope with additional pressures like money worried, physical or mental illness, disability or difficult life circumstances.
  • Mental Health Support Team This is an early help service designed to improve access to psychological therapies for young people via school.
  • Young Minds We know parenting isn’t always easy. Although it’s often amazing and rewarding to watch your children grow up, and to help them learn to be independent, it can also be really hard work. We have lots of practical advice and tips on supporting your child - from how to encourage your child to open up about their feelings to dealing with mental health services. No matter what you and your child are going through, things can get better.
